The instructions talk about cutting a trim piece and removing an exhaust bracket. Neither of these steps was necessary on our 2004 Sienna. The only trick is lifting the 40+ pound hitch into place while you tighten the bolts. I used a stack of wood with a wedge. In any case, I had the bracket installed and torqued within 30 minutes without a lift and without any help.
Note that the instructions specify a torque of 65 ft-lbs on the six bolts, to secure the lock washers adequately. This is a bit tricky without a torque wrench, and it will be hard to get the bolts that tight with a typical 1/2 inch socket wrench. It's easy with a torque wrench however. I only mention this because the safe performance of the hitch depends on all six bolts staying firmly attached to the vehicle frame, so you have to get them tight enough.
