I have a 2008 Ford Escape that has a window in the rear tail gate. This window has 2 struts that hold the window open when you open it. This works great when I go to the lumber yard and have long pieces of wood I need to get home. The struts rae shot so the glass won't stay open. Car Parts had what I thought was the correct struts but when I received them they where wrong, I got the lift gate struts instead. I believe this was my fault. The shipping was fast, parts packaged perfectly with no change for damage. The whole process was great. I now need to see if they have what I need and order again.

Answered by Andrew B. / Sat, Dec 17If you open the glass not the door you can do one at a time the clips are removed with a small pocket screwdriver or a pick and then you can just snap the new one on.

It could be the lift supports or the door actuator. We highly recommend having the vehicle diagnosed by a certified mechanic to determine what part needs replacement.
