Easy installation and replacement, however the full motion of the mirror is about 5% less than the Original causing a small blind spot. However, I have been able to adjust to the changes quickly.

Question: Can the non-painted sections be removed to be painted and/or replaced with existing painted panels from the old mirror?Deborah R. / Oct 26, 2022

Before painting, the parts that do not need to be painted are usually covered with masking tape. There are several videos on YouTube and Google with step-by-step instructions. Yes the non painted caps can be removed and replaced with the painted ones from your previous mirrors if they are in good shape. I did that with one cap just to see the difference between my Silver Cap and the all Black Cap that comes with the mirror. They snap on and off. Since the caps are paintable, I'm just gong to have the new cap painted and put them back on, since my old cap had several scratches and suffered some damage. If my old caps had not sustained so much damage I would have just kept them on.

Yes, it is black. My car is dark charcoal, so it blended well. Rattle can automotive touchup paint would work well before mounting.

No. This is the passenger side outside mirror that mounts on the door. This is not the inside rearview mirror. You will have to have it painted to match your car's paint.
