Hi James,
The first thing you want to do is make sure you’ve identified the right problem and that your engine oil leak is, in fact, coming from your oil pan gasket. It’s worth noting that just because you have oil around your oil pan doesn’t mean your oil pan gasket is leaking. Additionally, if you find oil above your pan, it may be dripping down from another leak source.
