After installing the part I could not notice a difference on the road for street or freeway driving. I have not gone off road with this product. It cannot be installed without the necessary kit. I had to find and order this install-kit from another company. I will keep this item as It must offer some advantage, as I did not have a steering stabilizer originally on my vehicle.

Installed the Rancho steering stabilizer on my 06 Jeep Wrangler. The OEM stabilizer was a bit tough to remove. Purchased a wheel puller to get the old one off --this is the way to go, no fuss, just popped right out.
The Rancho stabilizer just bolted right in, no problems. Didn't use the red boot, I had ordered a black one.
Packing the the product was good, nothing missing or broken, nor was anything poking out of the box upon delivery.

Question: If I don't have one now, is there a place to mount this that is easy for a novus to do?ChrisKat24 / Nov 06, 2020
Hi ChrisKat,
In as much as I would want to help you, I do not have the complete vehicle information to work on. We only guarantee fitment based on our application guide.
You can also call our sales team(1-866-529-0412) and provide your VIN to check the specification of the vehicle.

I used the mounts from my current stabilizer but the mounts are generic and just bolt on. Setup is fairly easy just get the mounts positioned so stabilizer is parallel and inline with the long linkage are. Little searching on web will give you good guidance. Highly recommended upgrade though. Significantly reduces bump steering when you get that shake in the steering wheel after any small bump.

Answered by Jamie M. / Sat, Nov 07Yes with the proper tools I would look at some trucks to see how it is mounted they are on most rides even big trucks!!!! You can do this make sure you have enough travel from left to right.Longer is better than shorter.

Answered by gary K. / Sat, Nov 07This steering stabilizer looks great on my “79” CJ5, but more importantly my CJ would sway and roam a lot on the road while driving at higher speeds and this really helped control that a lot!!

Hello! We recommend referring to a good repair manual for step by step instructions. You can find more information here: https://www.carparts.com/blog/why-you-should-always-consult-a-repair-manual/
