Question: What is the difference between the two passenger side tail lights listed here? Same part number except one has a Q at the end. One is $166 and the other is $178Troy H. / Sep 16, 2020
Hi Troy,
The one with the Q at the end of the part number is an aftermarket CAPA ( Certified Automotive Parts Association ) certified part. This means it underwent the testing for material properties, fit, finish, paint adhesion, coating performance, weld integrity, adhesive performance, and corrosion. While the other one is also an aftermarket part that went to quality inspection but without the certification by CAPA.

Answered by Arnel E. / Wed, Sep 16Hey Troy, I had to go through 2 different ones to get the right one. I got to admit, carparts.com helped me out immensely with that.
That being said, I learned something.
Take that light completely off and look at it before ya buy one. The one I bought first want right because I couldn’t see the connector.
Once I pulled it off, the right part was NOT the one I had already bought.
