I am not a perfectionist, however, this is not a direct fit. However, I was able to modify it slightly to work.
The "cup" portion fit fine on the left side. The slotted portion for the right side need to be modified,

Hello! This kit fits multiple versions of the tailgate hinges, so if you only install two of them and have no play, you are good to go!

This is for the right side of a 1998 Ranger XLT (extended cab) tailgate. The cheaper version was supposed to be a replacement, but it is too small and flimsy (and actually fell out after installation at a garage).
