Answered by Jeonino E. / Mon, Mar 06You have to pull the engine to replace the timing chains as one is in the rear of the engine. I did this job myself at my shop and it took about 1 day to pull the engine, 1 day to install the timing chains and re gasket everything, and another day to re install the engine and tidy everything up. A shop would probably charge a couple thousand to repair the chain if they even wanted to. A special tool is required to set timing
