The trunk latch fit perfectly. No more getting gooey tar like gunk all over my fingers when I try to open the trunk. Thanks carports! I just got this suv from my 87 year old mother who has decided not to drive anymore. I’m going to fix it up with parts where it has been neglected.

Ordered to replace the cover for the hatchback latch on 2007 Prius. The old cover had degraded to the point that the latch wouldn't function. This fits perfectly and now the latch lock works like new. Excellent and fast shipping too.

Answered by Jeonino E. / Sat, Mar 19This is the cover that goes over the switch to open the hatch. The original one turns to "tar" over time which is difficult to clean out. This piece screws right in place over where the old one went.

The original part had softened and disintegrated.
