nice item but hassle to instalHitch 2 In. Receiver

I was looking forward to install this thing within less than 30 minutes but it turned out to be a hassle - might have to do with my specific vehicle - Suzuki XL-7 - the bolts would not thread into the holes and it would not line up right. We ended up having to buy different bolts. Other than that it looks like a fine unit to me. Packaging and shipping was great - no complaints there. Gave an average for the performance as I have not used it yet so I can't really rate it.

when mounting (no help), I used jack stands to support the receiver while I put in the bolts... it did appear that the receiver was maybe a 1/4 of an inch narrower than the frame rails, but that gap closed up after tightening. no modification of the exhaust was necessary on my '03 Sorento. The only problem I can foresee is that the receiver overlaps the spare a bit - looks like you just have to push the tire forward while cranking it down to get it loose (it's not jammed in there) & putting the spare back on - you probably have to crank it up to the receiver & then slide it back in to the "nook". Otherwise ~ good quality, got a great deal on free ball mount & free shipping (ball mount added just enough weight to classify it as "heavy/bulky" had to pay $2.99 extra for that, but not a big deal!
