Jeep is not running out of surprises for its all-new 2020 Gladiator. On top of its unique styling features, it has recently been revealed that the pickup truck has another exclusive feature.

The automaker is offering a removable wireless speaker for the 2020 Gladiator. The wireless speaker is placed behind the truck’s foldable, waterproof second-row seats, allowing owners of the truck to go hard on their off-road adventures without worrying about damage to the equipment.

“This wireless speaker behaves like any other aftermarket speaker but the difference is it has smart charging so it will always be charged,” Jeep Gladiator spokesperson Elizabeth Krear shared on the company’s blog. “It’s smart in the sense that it only charges when it’s low,’ she added.

The Bluetooth speaker can be connected to a smartphone via a USB and is programmed to send power to the docking station only when it is installed. The speaker is also water-resistant in up to three feet of water for 30 minutes. Plus, it has dust protection and gold coating that prevents rust from forming on the device’s docking bay. And since it has a USB port, smartphones can also be recharged through the speaker.

Aside from these, the speaker can also be linked to a device in another nearby Gladiator to create a surround sound audio experience.

Jeep charges an additional cost of $295 for the wireless speaker on top of the truck’s base price of $33,500. But according to industry experts, fans of the Gladiator are willing to pay more for additional features.

Other than the speakers, the company is also expected to start offering a diesel engine option for the Gladiator beginning 2020. The diesel engine reportedly makes 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque and will be paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
