the site claims it’s OEM compatible, but the dimmer switch on the instrument cluster does not dim the indicator light on the fog light switch, leaving it full brightness, which is annoying…everything else worked fine…otherwise I’m not sure what the customer was asking specifically…

Is this direct install as the original or wire splicing is required.  I need more documentation or information on this item. Hi Klenn, Yes, this set of fog lights is compatible with the 2006 Honda Element EX 4 Cyl 2.4L. There would be no cutting or splicing of wires as the wires already have the butt type connectors installed. I can not guaranty that it comes with the installation instruction but, you can simply look it up on YouTube. We also have our own DIY (Do-it-Yourself) guide. It may require basic automotive knowledge for proper installation and professional installation is always recommended. Yes comes with kinda instructions. Its easy to install pop your front bumper off cut the fog light holes out mount. Make sure the bulk of the wire is on the driver side I made the mistake of not doing that and had to do the wires again. Run the wires threw the fender since there is alot of room its tricky but you can do it. Mount the on off button next to the cruise control .

Question: I keep replacing the drivers side fog light and it gets water in it and ruins it everytime. The stock lights were fine until drivers side cracked and filled with water then I replaced it twice more because of water and the original is still fine. Hi Rob, I'm glad to assist. If you have purchased the fog light from us and used it (still inside a year), but water keeps leaking inside. Please call our toll free number and ask to be transferred to warranty department to have it replaced. Our replacement brand carries a 1 year unlimited mileage warranty. I hope this helps. it fits and it works, except for the indicator light not being dimmed along with all other instrument cluster lights, leaving it fairly bright…annoyingly so…
