Question: Any rear bumper cutting involved?Trent P. / Mar 25, 2022
Hi Trent, I'll be glad to assist you. No, but it needs trimming of the center underbody panel outer tabs. You can use the link below to order the hitch while it's 39% off. Have a good one! https://www.carparts.com/hitch/curt/cur13234?can=cpab2020_20220325

Hi Fellow X3 Owner, There is only 1 place where a 5" x 5" hole-cut is needed. The cutting is through the black plastic under rear valence. This valance mounts ahead of the visible painted rear valance and braces that rear-most part. The hole is NOT visible when done and is not a big deal.....no worries about selling the car later. Plan 4-5 hours of work and to be surprised HOW MUCH of the car must be disassembled, to bolt the hitch to a very solid chassis mount where BMW bolts the rear bumper. It's a lot of work "on your back" and not fun, but once finished, you'll love how tidy the hitch looks, under the painted fascia. Best of Luck, Terry
