Being an old truck, opt to purchase an ignition switch 2000 Chev. Silverado. Although parts work, but not as good as oem. Until it fails, this is what it's going to be for now. Sorry I can't rate parts at this time.

Question: Hi Jeonino, Thanks for the quick response, but now two more questions… 1) Will the security system need new programming or is this plug and play? 2) Is this a simple install for a competent auto do it yourselfer?Doug F. / Mar 03, 2025
Hi Doug, I'm glad to assist you. No, programming is unnecessary since the standard ignition switch I identified bypasses that security feature (without the chip on the key). You can order the two parts with the (two) links I sent you earlier. Happy shopping!

Question: Hello…a couple of questions: 1) Will this fit a 1999 Chevy Blazer 4WD Automatic with 4.3L and 22) my vehicle has the factory Security system which I believe is connected to a chip in the blackPlastic of my ignition key. Will this need programming for the vehicle toStart and run? I am getting intermittent flashing of the security light aon the dash and am told that I need a new ignition switch.Doug F. / Mar 02, 2025
Hi Doug, I'm glad to assist you. No, it is incompatible. We do not carry the one with a security system with a chip on the key itself. This is just a basic version without the security system. Still, it can be used in place of the original ones that you previously have. The regular ignition switch is part number RC50620002, while the ignition lock cylinder is part number REPC503904. Grab our lowest prices and click the (two) links below to buy them today.
