To maximize the spreading of heated water over the top of all tubes, a baffle tank id placed in the upper tank, directly under the inlet hose from the engine. As the heated water reaches the auto radiator core, along with the water held its temperature is being cooled by the auto radiator fan that's installed behind it.
The usual problem that happens to auto radiators is overheating. This may be caused by lack of enough water, loose fan belt to drive the auto radiator fan efficiently, and or clogged auto radiator core because of water impurities and metal fragments. In order to avoid such trouble, the basic tip is to properly take care of your Oldsmobile. Use a filter in pouring water to the auto radiator if necessary.
