Question: have a 1983 trans am cannot  switch car off and cannot remove key what do i need to repair it ?john p. / Dec 22, 2020
Hi John, This part is guaranteed to fit the 1983 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am 8 Cyl 5.0L Except Tilt Steering Column (N33). Try spraying a little bit of WD-40 into the ignition lock. The can should come with a thin straw that should fit (or almost fit) into the space between your key and the ignition lock. Sometimes, this additional lubrication will be enough to allow the key to be removed by gently wiggling it.

Question: very lose steering column at top will this correct the lose  1985 trans am ?John P. / Dec 22, 2020
Hi John, Have you checked the tie rods and the ball joints? If the tie rod ends become worn, they may cause the steering wheel to feel loose. A vehicle with worn tie rods may also squeak as the steering wheel is turned and be out of alignment. A ball joint that is worn may cause the steering to feel loose and may also create a banging sound, especially when going over bumps.
