I was very skeptical at first but I'm so glad that I downloaded the app and started using Car parts .com.....My first order was so easy to find, to pay for and it was a day late I received a notification every step of the way. I placed my second order today and was told that ill have it today. I've told a number of my friends about Carparts.com and a couple have already placed orders. I will continue to spread the gospel

So, I was having this issue with my car idling way too high, which was pretty annoying. Turns out, the throttle position sensor was the culprit. Replacing that little guy totally solved the problem. It's amazing how one small part can make such a big difference. Now my idle is back to normal, and it's so much smoother. If you're dealing with a similar high idle, definitely check that sensor. It's a surprisingly easy fix.

It's held down either by a couple hex head bolts, a couple hollow Torx, Phillips head, or Allen bolts.
It's obvious once you get there, depends on who replaced it before you.

Hi William, I'm glad to assist you. This is responsible for monitoring the position of the throttle valve in the engine's air intake system. This is crucial for providing accurate information about the throttle position to the engine control system, enabling precise control of the engine's air-fuel mixture, ignition timing, and overall performance. Hi Anna, I'm glad to assist you. No, it is not necessary to change the idle control valve unless it is malfunctioning or showing signs of failure. If you also have a trouble code referring to the idle control valve, then, it is time to replace the part.
