Pickup trucks are typically designed with rough interior and exterior features. However, automakers are consistently trying to veer away from this stereotype by introducing luxurious features to their respective models.
One model known for having luxurious tech and accessories is the Ram 1500. But for the coming model year, the company is adding an even more premium option in the 1500 lineup.
Formerly known as the Laramie Longhorn, the now Limited Longhorn retains its position as Ram’s top luxury option in the 1500 lineup. It will welcome the name change with the addition of a special anniversary edition reportedly inspired by the Southwest region of the United States.
“The new 2021 Ram 1500 Limited Longhorn 10th Anniversary Edition is a tip of the Stetson to 10 years as a stand-alone brand building the best trucks, featuring the ultimate combination of capability, luxury, and refinement,” said Mike Koval, head of the Ram brand. “Truck buyers in this rarified air expect to see and feel the highest quality materials, and the Limited Longhorn 10th Anniversary Edition is another example of how we deliver the most luxurious pickups in the industry.”

The Limited Longhorn’s special anniversary edition is the automaker’s homage to the 10th year since it branched out of the Dodge umbrella and became a standalone brand.
The model’s interiors will feature an antique pocket watch, leather cowboy boots, and a horseman’s saddle. All of these will be built into the vehicle using premium materials such as leather, wood, and metal.
Among the exclusive accessories that customers can look forward to are the leather-wrapped dashboard, leather seat inserts with a Laser Filigree detail, suede door bolsters, and the Mountain Brown paint job for the interior, complete with hammered metal aluminum accents.
Exterior details, meanwhile, include a chrome-slat grille and header, LED headlights, chrome bumpers, tow hooks, and side steps as well as a special tailgate badge, multi-function tailgate, and 20-inch wheels.
Interested buyers are offered with two engine options: a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 and a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 engine with a turbocharger. According to Ram’s pricing schedule, the model retails for $56,870 for the CrewCab body style without the $1,695 destination charge.
