Center Link Replacement
Been driving over plenty of potholes lately? Then no wonder your center link is all busted up. Center links can end up being damaged due to harsh roadways or simply due to wear and tear. In any case, it's important that you replace your broken center link as soon as possible. Doing so is sure to provide you with safe and superb vehicle handling no matter where you go. Luckily, swapping out your substandard center link for a brand-new is a task you can do yourself. Just make sure you have the right tools and a never-say-die attitude and you'll have this DIY job done in no time.

Tools you'll need:
- Protective gloves and glasses
- Wrench set
- Floor jack
- Floor stands
- Replacement center link
Step 1: Before staring any DIY repairs, take proper safety precautions by wearing protective goggles and gloves.
Step 2: Use a floor jack to raise your vehicle, and then remove the front tires. Place jack stands beneath your ride and remove the floor jack.
Step 3: Loosen the jam nut that holds the tie rod end using a wrench. Do this on both sides then tap it out of the knuckle using a hammer.
Step 4: Remove the outer tie rod end from the shaft. Do this on both sides then thread off the am nut of the tie rod sleeve.
Step 5: Use wrench, remove the nut found on the top of the center link.
Step 6: Remove both of the nuts that hold the pitman and idler arms.
Step 7: Separate the center link from the pitman and idler arms using a hammer or steering linkage puller. You have the option of using a tie rod fork, but this may damage the seals.
Step 8: Remove the center link and set it aside.
Step 9: Install new center link into place.
Step 10: Torque everything back into position and have your tires aligned if necessary.
