Supercharger Kit Guides

Increasing your car's horsepower isn't as difficult as it seems. All you have to do is use a supercharger kit on your vehicle. The kit's supercharger, once added to your car's engine, can significantly increase the engine's power production. The supercharger does this by kicking up the engine's air intake. By taking in more air through the intake manifold, the engine can burn more fuel. And when the engine burns a larger amount of fuel-air mixture, the engine produces more power as well. It's as simple as that. You don't even have to worry about the supercharger's installation process. The supercharger kit comes complete with the bolts, rotors, and screws needed for proper installation. So, if you're looking to improve your vehicle's performance, take a look at our catalogs' supercharger kits. Here at Carparts, we offer you only the best products at the lowest prices.

• Can increase the engine's power output by as much as 50%

• Designed to be durable and damage-resistant

• Easy to use and fit most engine types

Step-by-step Guide on How to Install a Supercharger Kit

If you want to experience higher combustion pressures, then installing a supercharger kit must be one of your priorities when upgrading your vehicle's overall performance. It will add a tremendous power to your engine. Just remember to align the parts correctly while installing them.

Difficulty level: Moderate

What you'll need:

  • Hammer or mallet
  • Hose clamps
  • Tappet or similar wrench
  • Drill and drill bit
  • Rubber gloves
  • Wrench
  • Drill bit with a drill motor
  • 3 screws (M8x25) and washers
  • 1/4 NPT tap and tap handle
  • 3/8 screw and washer

Step 1: Before proceeding with the installation, make sure to work in a well-ventilated area, and wear your rubber gloves. Carefully and cautiously remove the crankshaft pulley, stock intake manifold, water pump pulley, and alternator pulley.

Step 2: Remove all grease and foreign objects on the crankshaft hub and the inside of any hoses to prevent contamination.

Step 3: Install the supercharger crank pulley using the four stock screws. Install the stock accessory pulley/s in front of the new crank pulley (if power steering and air conditioner are used).

Ste 4:Connect the oil drain hose into the drain fitting. Secure it with a hose clamp.

Step5: Use the new inlet manifold gasket provided and the stock bolts to install the supercharger assembly. Secure the bolts using a wrench.

Step 6: Remove the oil filter carefully and place the unit provided. Remove the oil pan and create a hole using a 7/16” drillbit with drill motor through the front cover, and use a ¼ tap NPT.

Step 7:Now, carefully place the supercharge on your vehicle. The oil drain line must be pointing down.

Step 8: Screw the adapter fitting with elbow into the hole.

Step 9: You need to work underneath your vehicle to connect the oil line to the drain in the oil pan.

Step 10: Place the hose assembly in the middle of the hose fitting and the drain back fitting.

Step 11: Use the stock socket screws and nuts to install the alternator pulley and water pump pulley.

Step 12: Use 3 screws (M8x25) and washers to install the idler pulley mount to the engine.

Step 13: Install the idler pulley using your 3/8 screw and washer.

Step 14: Install and adjust the belt tension using the alternator. Then place the carburetor.

Step 15: You can now crank the engine. Make necessary adjustments to your carburetor for better idle. Let your engine run for at least 15 minutes. This will ensure that the lubricating oil has circulated through the supercharger.

Step 16: Do not forget to check for leaks.

Step 17: Check if there are loose hoses or wires and put in an air cleaner to clear up the installation.

The entire process will take you about an hour or less. Some parts might be difficult to fit in, and being gentle is the key. Keep in mind that when buying a supercharger kit,the price isn't all that matters. It is important to consider the size of your engine, the make and model of your car, and year. There are varieties of superchargers available in the market. These include superchargers for drag racing, street, show, and more. Make sure that your supercharger comes with a warranty to make your investment protected.
