My windshield wipers keep on squeaking even if I already cleaned them. What should I do?

It can be very annoying to have wipers that keep on squeaking. If you already cleaned them, try cleaning the windshield glass instead. You can use vinegar, baking soda, or a store bought cleaner to remove dirt from your TR4's windshield. If the squeaking doesn't stop despite using any of these, you might consider replacing the wiper blade. To make it a little bit softer, make sure to regularly wipe it with an alcohol to remove particles; and to make it clean, make sure not to overdo it. You also need to check if the blades are properly attached. It can cause the wipers to squeak if the blades have too much or too little tension.

I have a problem with my Triumph TR4's steering wheel; it keeps on shaking. What should I do? Do I need to replace it immediately?

Tires that are out of balanced are one of the causes of car or steering wheel vibration. Have your tires checked by a professional mechanic to see if that is the cause of your TR4's steering wheel vibration. He can check if the front tires are out of balance and if one or both of the front tires are under or over inflated.

Loose or damaged wheel bearings, transmission and motor problems, and worn suspension parts and brake rotors are the less common causes of your Triumph TR4's steering wheel vibration. Immediately consult and ask a mechanic for parts that are in need of replacement.

My wheel arches are getting rusty. What is the best thing to do to avoid it?

If rusts are not treated, they will eventually spread and will cause you a lot of hassle so better treat them now. Start removing rusts from your Triumph TR4's wheel arches by using sandpaper, grinder, or an electric sander if you have one. This will really consume a lot of time, so be patient enough to remove all the rusts or the rusts will come back. Cut the big chunks of rusts if needed. Just put a wire mesh before spreading the bondo so it has something to hold on to.

You will need a face mask when sanding the rusts and the bondo because the dusts are harmful. You will be able to match the curvature of your TR4 by using rough sandpaper first, and then proceed with softer sandpaper as you go along. Carefully paint the spot with 2-3 coats of primer, and then apply 3-4 coats of paint that matches your Triumph TR4 color. And then apply at least 2 layers of clear coat. Allow an adequate drying time in between the process. Do not forget to wear protective mask during the painting process because the paint fumes are extremely hazardous for your health. And remember, if you are not so confident in doing these on your own, do not hesitate to call a professional to do it for you.
