My Audi 4000 Quattro vibrates during high speed and when I use brake on lower speed. Do you have any idea as to what could be the cause of this steering wheel vibration?

You may check the water pump pulley if it is already loose and then replace the pulley if needed. If you notice some droplets of water or small stream from your water pump and gasket, you might probably have a leak.

How can I troubleshoot an oil leak?

Use the dipstick to check the oil level. It is recommended to do this at least once a week. Top up the oil if it reaches the low mark, but do not wait for it to reach the low mark next time. Monitor the level every thirty minutes to see if there's a leak or hole in your oil pan. You can try spreading a thin layer of talcum powder around the engine and then drive your Audi 4000 Quattro for about 15 minutes. From there, you can see if there is oil on the surface. This will allow you to pin point where exactly the hole or leak is located. You can also rent a steam cleaner pressure to easily spot oil leaks. Have you tried using a fluorescent leak detection system? If not, you can purchase this at your nearest auto parts store. The blue or ultraviolet light together with the fluorescent will make it easy for you to spot the small oil leaks.
