Not exactly a “direct fit” horn
It is not what I would call a “direct fit”. The bracket is not like the original. The original has a metal tab that inserts into the fender well. This does not.

Audi S4 Guides

The Audi S4 is simply a German sport sedan that's quiet impressive. There are a lot of great cars in the market that's commanding your attention, but it is worth noting that once you pick a car of your choice, make sure that it is powered with a serious performance.

The Audi S4 can hold its own toughness. Its 2004 model was certainly made with best things compared to its predecessor. Audi added almost 100 hp by installing a new version of the company's 4.2 liter V8, which is good for a 340 hp and 302 lb-ft of torque. They engineered this power plant to fit in the S4's engine bay by shortening the block, and were accomplished by relocating the motor's drive chains to the rear of the engine. This Audi model was a whole new car and features a standard 18-inch wheels, xenon headlights, Recaro seats, dual-zone climate control with a charcoal cabin air filter and a 10-speaker Audi Symphony stereo.

Despite the fact that the Audi is making serious performer cars, they also ensure luxurious interior features and a well molded exterior. The handling of the S4 is excellent as part of the fully independent suspension. It provides you comfort and the ride is definitely resistant. When you take that long drive, you can probably tell that you have a perfect yet quiet pleasant ride with the S4. You will be impressed with the overall refinement and its driving situations even it runs aggressively through all six gears.

The S4 also comes with a six-speed automatic with Tiptronic. Safety features comes along with the Audi S4 that includes side curtain airbags, seat-mounted side airbags and height-adjustable front seatbelts with load limiters. ABS, stability control and a rear brake pressure regulator are available form the S4 to help avoid collisions.

The Audi S4 can hold its own against their competitors. Because of the amazing combination of smooth, linear and aggressive power delivery and expected refinement, the Audi stands confidently on the crowd and boast its high-performance as a sedan.

How to Make Your Audi S4 a Head-turner

An Audi S4 is undoubtedly a head-turner. But if you are careless and complacent, your gorgeous car can easily turn into an old, used-up looking vehicle. That's why you should always take good care of both its exteriors and interiors. There are ways on how to make your car run well and look good at the same time. Here are some tips on how to keep your Audi S4 looking awesome.

  • Take good care of its paint job.

Giving your car a new paint job is definitely pricey but you wouldn't need to do it if you take care of your car properly. You should always park under a shade and use a car cover whenever possible to avoid exposing your car to too much sunlight as it will compromise the car paint and will make it more susceptible to fading and cracking. With that in mind, you shouldn't neglect any minor scratches and dents either as they may become a breeding ground for rust. It may seem minor at first, but in the long run, small dents and scratches could cause you bigger problems when your car starts developing rust. So, check your vehicle regularly for any nicks that you may have overlooked.

  • Pay attention to your lights.

A cloudy headlight doesn't just look awful; it also hinders your capacity to see the road clearly at night. Most people tend to neglect its maintenance even though it's actually easy to keep it clean and functioning well. You can even use toothpaste as an alternative for a lens cleaner to restore the headlight clusters' finish. Just apply a small amount using a toothbrush and wipe clean. You'll have brighter and clearer headlights in no time. Remember, your headlights and tail lights are not just decorations but a safety feature as well. So pay attention to them and you're sure to reach your destination safely and in style.

  • Know your engine's status.

Nobody wants a noisy engine while driving. And that's not the reason you would want people to notice your car. So, have your engine regularly checked, at least once every 6 months for anything that may have gotten loose or needs replacing. And once you hear something that doesn't sound right, have your mechanic look at it immediately. That way, not only will you have optimum engine performance, you can have a peace of mind too, knowing that your car is safe to drive.

  • Watch those tires and rims.

Car tires and rims don't usually get people's attention at first sight. But when they do, you wouldn't want to be caught off-guard having dull, dirty rims and worn out tires. Not only are they disgusting to look at, they can also pose a serious threat to your safety. So, when you get your Audi S4 washed, make sure the tires and rims are given the attention they deserve. And while you're at it, have your tires checked for signs of wear. Worn out tires can seriously affect handling and could cause your car to swerve out of control.

Audi S4: Where Sleek Style meets Impressive Power

The Audi S4 is a sports car derived from the Audi A4, and its name was first used to refer to the Audi 100. The Audi S4 boasts numerous pros, including attractive styling, outstanding road performance—thanks to its all-wheel drive traction—and superb interior design. This vehicle also features a very high power output, top-notch braking capabilities, and very receptive handling. When it was first introduced into the market in 1991, it came with a 2.2-liter inline 5 engine and was available in manual transmission. Since its birth, the S4 has gone through numerous changes, bringing us to the state-of-the-art S4 of the new millennium. When it comes to satisfying power-hungry drivers who have a penchant for ridiculous style, the Audi S4 never falls short.

1994-1997: Name changes and a speedy evolution

Audi stopped using the name Audi 100 in 1994 and instead called this vehicle the A6, while the S4 was hence referred to as the S6. This new car saw only minor changes, which included a 4.2-liter V8 engine. The new B5 platform S4 was introduced in Europe in 1997, but only made its way to the US in 2000. This time, it housed a 2.7-liter V6 engine and could hit 100 kilometers per hour in just 5.6 seconds, making it the fastest sedan in the market.

1998: The Wagon is born

A 5-door Audi S4 wagon was introduced in 1998 and was otherwise known as the Audi S4 Avant. It had Electronic Differential Locks (EDL) and a manual 6-speed gearbox. This superb vehicle could hit top speeds of 230 kilometers per hour (155 mpg) and could go from zero to sixty 5/4 seconds. The production of this vehicle was discontinued in 2001.

2003-2005: Third time’s the charm

2003 witnessed the arrival of the Audi S4 for the third time. This ride came in three types—the sedan, the wagon, and the convertible—and featured a 4.2-liter V8 engine, which could hit 100 kilometers in just 52 seconds. In mid 2005, Audi replaced the B6 S4 with the B7 S4, but the differences between the two were minimal.

2007-2010: Leaps in power and technology

The 2007 S4 had a 340 hp, 252 cubic inch V8 engine and came with all-wheel drive, which was named “Quattro.” This vehicle could be bought with either six-speed manual transmission or six-speed automatic transmission that had “Tiptronic” technology, which allowed drivers to manually shift gears. It was also Bluetooth-enabled and pre-wired for satellite radio. In 2008, the S4 received a V8 engine that could generate 7000rpm and 340hp. The tech gadgets in the cabin, like Bluetooth phone and Sirius Satellite radio, also improved. 2009 and 2010 showcased an S4 that packed plenty of power and even added safety features like antilock brakes, electronic brake assist, and traction/stability control. New gadgets were also added like a six CD changer and MP3 player.

2012: The current S4 sedan

This fifth gen Audi S4 is now only available as a sedan. Its engine power remains as impressive as ever, and its cabin is styled in true Audi fashion.
