A date is finally set for the upcoming release of the much-awaited 2021 Ford Bronco.

After months of anticipation and shortly after confirming the model’s debut next month, Ford announced the grand reveal of the next-generation Bronco is set for July 9.

Several spy photos and renderings of the SUV have circulated online numerous times in the past, but Ford has remained mum as to how the production version of the model is actually going to look. In July, however, the public will finally know all the details about the Bronco.

The 2021 Ford Bronco SUV is set to arrive at dealership lots sometime next year with a starting price of $30,000.

It was in 2017 when Ford first announced its plans to revive the Bronco nameplate. The SUV was initially scheduled to debut in spring this year, but owing to the coronavirus pandemic, delays and changes took place. This pushed back the model’s debut and start of production by a few months.

The new Bronco is being groomed to compete against the Jeep Wrangler. Interestingly, both models will have removable doors and roof, a boxy styling, high ground clearance, and a rear-mounted spare tire. Moreover, the Ford SUV will feature circular LED running lights and its Bronco nameplate right across the grille.

While the automaker has not confirmed anything about the drivetrain, the Bronco is expected to be powered by a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder as standard equipment. A twin-turbo 2-7 liter V-6 is also believed to be an option, as well as a manual transmission.
