Super Mats!
I was attempting to find mats to replace my eighteen year old ones. (1997 4 runner) I only needed the back seat ones, and I found that basically all mats are sold in sets of four. Out of frustration, I contacted Toyota parts. Even they no longer offered back seat mats for my vehicle. You guys were my last hope. I am pleased with the Husky Liners, and would recommend you guys without reservation.

Plymouth Prowler Guides

When you hear of Plymouth automobiles, the first thing that comes to your mind is the history it made. It got the record of being the third low priced car make and became number 3 in terms of sales just behind the Chevrolet and Ford. Plymouth is a Chrysler's division that offers low price vehicles and as expected, a good number of car aficionados became loyalists to this brand. For newly born companies, down moments can be expected and this was experienced by the Plymouth Automobile Company, but they did not lose hope, rather, they strived harder until they regain success that reached a total sale of 750, 000 cars per year.

And a saddening moment is slowly knocking upon the future of the Plymouth Company. Plymouth sales began to fall until it only sold around 350, 000 cars per year. Though different redesigning and resizing strategies were made, the production of Plymouth vehicles was really disappointing. The Plymouth which started in the year1928 finally reached its end in the year 2001. Nevertheless, the legend of the once top-selling sturdy and little cars has left an indelible mark in the automotive industry. One of its prides is the Plymouth Prowler.

The Plymouth Prowler was introduced to the public in the year 1997 and its production lasted until 2002. The Prowler is a 1930s roadrunner style but was redone to look like the 1950s mode. The Prowler is a unique modern car to run down the road. Distinguished features on the prowler are the motorcycle-type front fenders that were moved along with the front wheels. Its unique appearance as a modern car delivered it to be a show car on the street. The Plymouth Prowler is more than appearance for it has something to show too! Prowler's technology was strictly up-to-date.

Included in Prowler's outstanding technology is the use of 900 pounds aluminum as hood, front side panels, door, rear deck, frame, bumpers, front suspension wishbones and seat frames. Several state-of-the-art standard and optional features were loaded to the Prowler including superb engine power performances. Year after year, the Plymouth Prowler underwent changes like additional body color, optional features that were made standard, and additional optional features. Suspension revisions and transmission modifications were also applied to improve its ride and handling performances.

If you happen to own one of these vehicles - you surely would want to keep it rocking and rolling down the road for the next decade or two then Plymouth Prowler parts are what you need! These Prowler parts will keep your vehicles in good running condition. You can also upgrade, enhance, repair or even restore any Prowler vehicle with the use of these automotive parts.

FAQs—Plymouth Prowler

How crucial is it to have the tires balanced? What are the benefits? And when should tire balancing be done?

Aside from making sure that the tires have adequate air pressure, they should also be balanced. This will help extend the service life of the tires and even improve their performance. When the tires aren't balanced, this may lead to road vibrations. And because of this, the driver can experience exhaustion even more. Tires may wear out prematurely, developing unusual wear patterns such as cupping or dipping. This will also place unnecessary stress on the rest of the vehicle suspension. Tire balancing should be done when they're mounted on wheels. In case you experience or notice vibration or shimmy, consider having the tires re-balanced for your driving safety and comfort. Some would advise that you do this once a year.

What could possibly cause steering wheel vibration on a Plymouth Prowler? When I drive past 45 mph, that's when I notice the start of the steering wheel vibration. It even feels like the vehicle itself is twitching.

Steering wheel vibration may seem like a small thing compared to other troubles that may hurt the performance and handling of the vehicle. But if you don't tackle this problem right away, worse things can happen. This can be risky. To find out the source of the problem, you have to consider several possible issues. Your vehicle, for instance, may have wheel and tire assemblies that already need balancing. You may also have damaged wheels or worn-out tires. Check the wheel lug nuts. If they're loose, then these should be tightened, or if there's a missing piece, then that should be replaced right away. The steering wheel problem may also have something to do with parts of the steering linkage that are already loose. These parts should be retightened or repaired as needed. If steering wheel vibration tends to happen when you apply the brakes, the source of the problem may be traced to warped or broken brake rotors or drums.

Why do heat spots develop on brake rotors? How can they affect the rotors' condition and performance? Are they a reason for concern, or is it normal for rotors to develop heat spots?

When there are heat spots, this means that the brake rotors suffer from uneven brake pad deposits, which happens when the brakes aren't broken in or bedded in properly. The deposits from the brake pad may eventually build up, and when it does, the deposits can transform into a compound called cementite. Cementite on rotors isn't a good thing since this compound is known to be abrasive. The presence of this compound will affect the rotors' cooling abilities. This can heat up and this can grow larger until the rotors' cooling capacity is compromised. Heat spots aren't harmless. These can cause brake harshness and can lead to vibration. Worse, this can affect the structural integrity of the rotors. To avoid this, proper bed-in is needed. The rotors may also be turned. However, if the heat spots are severe or have spread out already, replacement is the best solution to the problem.
